What does a ceramic coating do?
It adds a bonded protective layer over prepared paint, enhancing gloss and water repellency and making routine cleaning easier. Regular washing still matters.
Will it remove scratches, swirls, or water spots?
The polishing stage improves suitable paint defects before coating. Our one-step enhancement targets light swirls and dullness. Deeper scratches, etched water spots, and heavier defects may need additional correction, quoted after inspection. Coating cannot repair peeling or failed clear coat.
Is ceramic coating scratch-proof or rock-chip-proof?
No. Ceramic coating does not prevent rock chips or all scratches, and hardness ratings do not make paint damage-proof. It can still develop water spots. Safe washing and prompt contaminant removal are essential.
How long will the coating last?
Dura-Coat markets its 10H coating for up to nine years of protection. Actual durability depends on preparation, exposure, mileage, and maintenance. System X MAX G+ is our lifetime-warranty option for eligible automotive applications, subject to the manufacturer’s terms.
What does the System X lifetime warranty require?
Coverage requires an approved installation, registration within 30 days, regular care, and annual inspections by an approved applicator. Annual inspection fees apply. The warranty is non-transferable, excludes commercial vehicles, and does not cover scratches, rock chips, or water spots. We review eligibility and the current terms with you before booking. Can you install it at my home?
Yes. We offer mobile installation throughout Baton Rouge, Ascension Parish, and Livingston Parish, with suitable covered workspace, access to power, and the required dry time. We bring our equipment and water. We confirm the location, weather, and curing arrangements before scheduling.
How long does installation take, and when can it get wet?
Plan for approximately 6–7 hours for our standard paint enhancement and coating service; larger vehicles or extra correction can take longer. Keep the vehicle covered and dry for at least 24 hours after application, following the product-specific instructions we provide. Full curing takes longer than the appointment.
How do I maintain it?
Wash regularly using coating-compatible products and clean wash tools, dry thoroughly, and remove bugs and bird droppings promptly. Avoid brush car washes and abrasive polishing. Follow the care schedule for your chosen coating, including recommended maintenance products and any required inspections. We provide aftercare instructions and can help with recurring maintenance.
Are the glass, wheels, and interior coated too?
This package focuses on exterior paint protection and includes a basic interior refresh. Glass, wheel, and interior coatings are not automatically included. Tell us what you want protected so we can confirm the scope and price.
Do you coat boats, aircraft, and RVs?
Yes. We offer marine, aviation, and RV paint enhancement and protection, along with automotive services. Send photos, dimensions, and details about the finish so we can assess the project and provide a custom quote. Coating options, service inclusions, and warranty terms depend on the application.
